The plan for my last video didn’t go to plan. I enlisted the help of my 3-year-old to do fleece remnants unboxing and then I wanted him to help me make some simple fleece projects….it was a hard no to the projects.
He loved doing the unboxing which you can see here: youtu.be/qm9e7hX9RNU
But when it came to working on a project with me he knew what he wanted it to be - a fleece penguin!
I really want to encourage my kids to learn to sew so even though it wasn’t the quick win, done in 3 seams project I had envisaged for us I decided to roll with it.
This is our fly-on-the-wall documentary-style sewing session. Follow along with your kids and make your now fleece penguin or just get a chuckle.
I’ve thrown in some tips for sewing with kids too but honestly, the best recommendations are just to roll with it and make sure they get something finished!
I mentioned in the video that all my soft toys look like Owls…well I do have a tutorial about how to make a stuffed owl. It’s here - youtu.be/xO1kEIPZDnM
SOFT TOY EYES & NOSES that we used are these ones: amzn.to/3U6hmKv
