After receiving requests to recreate @zionjaymes physical modeling technique, I built a custom Grid patch to generate realistic cymbal sounds natively inside Bitwig Studio. My setup simulates a stick strike feeding into a dispersion feedback loop and a resonator made of 16 stacked comb filters. To get the correct metallic tone, it is critical that you lower your audio buffer size to roughly 64 samples to achieve the necessary low-latency feedback. I have included this preset as a free download in the description so you can start experimenting with your own custom metallic percussion.
