This is the latest in a long series of ways to use Takkuri to dupe a real bottle, but it's the first to involve almost no setup/sidetracking. By equipping the fish in my first bottle twice and dropping one of them, I set it up so that the bottle is empty and can be stolen, but I still have a full bottle on my C buttons which doesn't get removed. Using the bottle puts it back in the inventory, and you can get your stolen bottle back either through SoT or purchasing it from the curiosity shop. If you're taking the latter route, you can use this classic GnS strat (youtube.com/watch?v=Cx2mc0glq9Y) to dupe a second bottle while you're at it.
