Edit: After the events of last night regarding the group book (Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid, a book by a black author) which the hosts didn’t even bother to read and then made fun of not reading during the liveshow, as well as a number of other issues, I will no longer be supporting this readathon. They were incredibly insensitive and as someone who is actively trying to become a better ally, I can no longer in good faith support this readathon and I will not be taking part in the future.
