So I just looked up exactly what it means to break a spine and went ohhhhhhh. I DEFINITELY don't do that, it hurts my soul a little bit. I think I accidentally did that to one of my books and what a sad thing that was. No matter the type of book, paperback or hardcover, I have always made an effort to keep the spine in tact, but if you don't that's cool too!
