If you're familiar with the 1998 film, Sliding Doors starring the lovely Gweneth Paltrow, then this will make sense to you. If you're not, the story follows a woman who is down on her luck, she's heading home from work early after getting fired. She is slightly distracted and misses the subway. Here, time splits. We follow her in the universe where she missed the subway, and also in another one where she just barely caught it, only to get home and find her partner in bed with another woman.
In this vlog, I read three books with the same trope. Time splits, and we follow 2 paths, dissecting "what could have been" and how the slightest change can alter our lives.
