It’s time for round 2 of Gothic-a-thon!🖤
This is a readathon taking place from November 1-30th, hosted by me and my wonderful co-host ReadLexRead on instagram, where we read gothic books all month!
There are 12 reading prompts, 5 activity prompts, and 2 group books (one chosen by me, and one chosen by my co-host, ReadLexRead over on Instagram)!
The only rule for the readathon is that all books must be gothic! And you can, of course, double up on prompts!
Prompts: read a gothic book by an author of color, read a gothic book featuring vampires, a gothic horror or thriller, a gothic book with queer representation, a southern gothic book, read a gothic classic OR a retelling of a gothic classic, a gothic book set in an isolated location, a gothic book featuring ghosts, a book with gothic AND dark academia vibes, a gothic romance, a gothic book set in a non-European setting, and a gothic book featuring a character’s descent into madness.
Activity prompts: post the books you’ll be reading for the readathon, create a photo with gothic vibes, watch a form of gothic media (movie, tv show, YouTube video, things like that), recommend some books for the readathon, read in a gothic atmosphere (maybe light some candles, put on some gothic music, things like that)
Group Books: Darknesses by Lachelle Seville and House of Hunger by Alexis Henderson
