A journalist leaked a discussion by US leaders to okay an attack on Yemen which apparently killed 53 people including five children. The victims were from a group called the Houthis. Upset about the slaughter of families in Gaza, they have been disrupting shipping from countries supporting Israel's actions.
But the discussion, from before and after the attack, is illuminating. There's no concern for the victims at all.
Instead, people are angry that Europe will benefit more from this attack than the US will. The participants express determination to send the entire bill for the Yemen attack to Europeans and demand they come up with the cash.
And clearly some sort of threat must be made to Europe to comply!
