My first controversial video from when I first started youtube was something I spent so much time obsessing over. I tried so hard to be calm and peaceful and loving and prayerful. Back then I still held onto hope that Christians could be induced to love more and evaluate and see that not every circumstance was right for black and white thinking. The video I'm reacting to was called, "Dear Christians, Stop freaking out about abortion".
I had just made a friend and learned about her situation and knew that she did not deserve to have accusations hurled at her for what was a heartbreaking situation.
I got the idea to react to this and it was so dang interesting to see how small I made myself. How hard I tried to keep the lid on my passion and belief becase I wanted to do everything I could to be heard. I feel so much love and compassion for that pre-deconstruction version of myself that did this scary thing and I feel so much gratitude and pride to myself now that I am free.
