For over 30 years in film and television, from shows like HBO’s Barry to ensemble casts in comedies like The Girl Next Door, actor Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette has been waiting for a role that allowed him to flex a new set of acting muscles. Finally, that opportunity arrived in the late hours in west Ireland, when he received a barrage of urgent messages during a particularly frightening scene in Gremlins. Nick Santora, the showrunner of Prime Video’s hit series Reacher, needed him to audition for a role — and he needed to get it done in 15 minutes. “My whole life was upended,” he tells Collider’s Steve Weintraub, recalling the whirlwind adventure this phone call set in motion for the next six months. "I love performing, and I've never been given a chance like this. I'll be honest, man, I've been waiting 20 years for something like that, and it was awesome."
Alan Ritchson’s action-packed series reclaims the Prime Video throne worldwide for its fourth season. Based on Lee Child’s thirteenth novel, Gone Tomorrow, a chance encounter on a subway goes terribly wrong and hurls Jack Reacher (Ritchson) into a tangled conspiracy, pitting him against ruthless, high-powered enemies.
