Resident Evil 4[a] is a 2023 survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. It is a remake of the 2005 game Resident Evil 4. Players control the US agent Leon S. Kennedy, who must save Ashley Graham, the daughter of the United States president, from the mysterious Los Iluminados cult. The remake builds upon the original game with an updated plot, new visuals, characters, cast, and improved gameplay.
Resident Evil 4 was announced at PlayStation's State of Play in June 2022 and released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on March 24, 2023. It received critical acclaim and sold more than three million copies in two days.
Resident Evil 4 (2023) is a remake of the 2005 game Resident Evil 4. It features "over-the-shoulder" third-person shooter gameplay similar to the original, while drawing other design aspects from the remakes of Resident Evil 2 (2019) and Resident Evil 3 (2020).[4] Resident Evil 4 features redesigned visuals, designed to create a tenser atmosphere, along with new character designs and backgrounds.[5][6] It offers six control schemes, including one styled after the original game.[7] Occasionally the player must solve puzzles in order to reach certain areas.[8] In some sequences, Leon must protect the president's daughter, Ashley. She uses a simpler health system than in the original, and can be instructed to stay close or far.[8]
As in the original game, the player organizes their inventory with an "attaché case". New to the remake, a crafting system enables the player to create items and ammunition using resources collected throughout the game. The fan-favorite Merchant returns, allowing the player to buy, upgrade, and trade items while also providing new side quests that may be completed during the main story.[9][10] Similarly to the original, the focus of combat is shooting enemies and reloading. However, Leon can now move and use weapons at the same time, allowing him to evade attacks while firing. Leon can also use melee attacks to injure enemies and push them away.[11][12] A new parrying mechanic allows him to block, counterattacks, and kill downed enemies with his knife.[13][12] Unlike the original, Leon's knife now has a durability meter; if broken, the player will have to speak to the Merchant to get it repaired or increase its durability.[14] Leon can carry multiple types of knives with various attributes.[15]
Following the destruction of Raccoon City in 1998,[b] Leon S. Kennedy (Nick Apostolides) becomes an agent for the United States government after being trained by Major Jack Krauser (Mike Kovac). Six years later, Leon is sent by the president to rescue his daughter Ashley Graham (Genevieve Buechner) from a village in rural Spain with the assistance of Ingrid Hunnigan (Raylene Harewood). Soon after arriving, Leon finds his escorts brutally murdered by the villagers, who are being controlled by the parasite Las Plagas and have pledged themselves to the Los Illuminados cult. Searching for Ashley, Leon meets Luis Serra (André Peña), whom Ingrid confirms once worked for the Umbrella Corporation. Leon and Luis are captured by the village head, Chief Bitores Méndez (Jon Bryant), who injects Leon with a Plagas parasite. After escaping captivity, the pair separate, with Luis meeting with Ada Wong (Lily Gao).
Leon rescues Ashley, who is also infected with a Plagas, but they are pursued by Méndez until Leon eventually kills him. With their rescue helicopter delayed by inclement weather, the pair retreat to a castle. However, the lord Ramón Salazar's (Marcio Moreno) forces capture Ashley. Leon briefly re-encounters Ada following their last encounter in Raccoon City before reuniting with Luis, who provides suppressants for the Plagas and reveals he wants to atone for his actions while working as an Umbrella researcher. The pair use mining tunnels to reach the surface, but Luis is fatally stabbed by Krauser, who has defected to Los Illuminados. Leon and Krauser engage in combat before Luis forces Krauser to retreat.

![The BIG Twist! | Metaphor RE:Fantazio (Part 16)
It was indeed, not the last video.
Metaphor: ReFantazio[a] is an upcoming 2024 role-playing video game developed by Studio Zero and published by Atlus. It is the first original game from Studio Zero since its formation in 2016 by Persona series director Katsura Hashino, character designer Shigenori Soejima, and composer Shoji Meguro. The game is scheduled to be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S on October 11, 2024, in commemoration of Atlus 35th anniversary. The game takes place in the United Kingdom of Euchronia, a medieval fantasy realm mirroring the contemporary real world, after the assassination of its former King places a curse on the Prince, putting him in an eternal slumber. The protagonist, an orphaned boy of the magla-wielding Elda tribe and the Princes childhood friend, is tasked with journeying across the kingdom to rally support from its people as he vies to take the throne in his place while also lifting the spell.
Metaphor: ReFantazio was first announced under the codename Project Re:Fantasy in December 2016, with no more information revealed until 2023. It incorporates multiple gameplay systems previously used in prior Atlus role-playing games, featuring a hybrid system that mixes the traditional Press Turn-based battle mechanics during initiated encounters and boss fights, with real-time action combat in the field. The game carries over several of the social simulation elements prominently used in the Persona series, including time-sensitive activities structured after a day-to-day calendar, and the Follower system, which involves the player forging bonds with the locals in each region around Euchronia in order to increase public favor towards the protagonist ahead of the election to decide the next King.
Metaphor: ReFantazio takes place in the United Kingdom of Euchronia, which is set in a medieval fantasy realm that acts as a mirror to the modern real world. The assassination of its King sparks chaos and unrest throughout the kingdom, while also invoking a unique form of magic only previously known to the King, known as the Royal Magic. These events end up setting the stage for a tournament to be held across the world in order to decide the thrones successor. The main protagonist is a boy of the Elda tribe who has been ostracized by wider society for being tainted with the inheritance of forbidden magic and is often subject to discrimination and prejudice as a result. He is to embark on a quest to lift a curse placed on his childhood friend, the crown prince of Euchronia whom the kingdom believes was assassinated over ten years ago. Throughout the journey, he will be accompanied by a fairy companion named Gallica, whose immense knowledge and ability to sense magic aids him on the path ahead.
Other allies aid the protagonist and Gallica throughout the narrative. The main party comprises Strohl, a nobleman of the Clemar tribe who meets the protagonist at the State Army recruitment center, Hulkenberg, a knight of the Roussainte tribe formerly acting as part of the Royal Familys kingsguard and harboring considerable guilt for her inability to protect the Prince, and Heismay, a former knight of the bat-like Eugief tribe who is sensitive towards sound and endures similar discrimination from other tribes in the kingdom due to his physical appearance.

Persona 3 is the fourth game in the Persona series. The game was developed by Atlus for the PlayStation 2. Persona 3 follows a group of high school students trying to cope with, understand and accept death in a world surrounded by it, as well as find their own reasons for living. They form a group called SEES in order to investigate the Dark Hour, a mysterious time period between one day and the next that few people are aware of. During the Dark Hour, SEES explores Tartarus, a large tower containing Shadows, creatures that feed on the minds of humans. To fight the Shadows, each member of SEES is able to summon a Persona, a manifestation of their inner self. An enhanced version of the game containing an epilogue called The Answer was released as Persona 3 FES, also for the PlayStation 2. This version is available on the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 3.
