The second grenade is an idea from Show, nobody else. Found in 2011/2012 on PS2, you can check out M34Noel use it in his run where he specifies it's Show's route :

You may probably find Show's videos on Youku and a few other obscure asian platforms that gather Mercenaries videos. Unfortunately, Shin's site is shut down nowadays.
The rest of the chest is basically a mix of the Topstairs and the Wooden strategies I've worked on in 2008-2009. The idea comes from my strategy on the NTSC version, and thanks to Show who proved that grenade worked a few years later, I was able to pick up my controller again in 2012 and figure out a way to get 37 kills !

2007 : 28 kills (Bloodybaha)
2008 : 30, 31,32,33 kills (HM with the coaching of Roxus12 and spawning knowledge from Atwyatt)
2009 : 33 kills, easier (HM)
2012 : 35, 37 kills (HM, 2 different strats, thanks to Show's find)
