During a previous water change, I believe I may have killed the Randall Goby while siphoning the visible sandy areas of the tank. I never saw it after I was done, despite performing this task the exact same way for nearly a year. The sandbed got ugly a week later, and I still didn’t see the fish. Putting two and two together, it seems it perished and spiked the water in the process. Cyanobacteria was creeping into the system and I decided to use RedCyano Rx now before it got worse. After dosing and waiting four days, I did a 5g water change and that was all there was to it.
