The Research and Development Missions Accelerator Programme (R&D MAP) supports research and innovation that aligns with the UK government’s five national missions. It focuses on new ideas that can improve lives, strengthen public services and support the economy.

Harry Turnbull-Jones, R&D MAP Director, explains how the R&D MAP is working with government departments to invest in research focused on outcomes to solve major UK challenges and societal issues. Stakeholders and end users of the research are involved throughout the programme, from advisory boards to developing the research, all the way through to testing its impact.
