Thames Barge Veronica
In this illustration of the parts supplied in the wood-pack WP3584, you can see that the design is essentially a square, flat bottomed centre section with a curved bow and stern.
Building Veronica tells the story of how to build a radio controlled model of the famous Thames Sailing Barge, a versatile and economical cargo vessel that plied the Thames Estuary and surrounding waters throughout the 1800's and deep into the 20th century. But it is much more than that. It shows the traditional skills of boat building craftsmanship that can be used to construct a working model of just about any sailing vessel.

The Thames Sailing barge is an iconic sailing work boat that plied its trade in and around the River Thames and Medway. Manned usually by one man and a boy the full size Veronica was built in 1906 and worked until after WW 2 she also participated in the popular Thames Sailing Barge races as a leisure activity.
