- Why MOLEX instead of SATA Power? - "SATA has a power limit of 54W (4.5A x 12V) max. This controller handles 60W - even if we artificially limited it to 54W, that's still at the very limit of what SATA can deliver with no headroom. Molex can typically handle 13A x 12V = 156W"
