What is Burning Man?

It’s not what you think it is.

Yet somehow, it’s exactly what it’s supposed to be.

Come. Don’t come. The city doesn’t give a shit…

But a few of us do. 🖤🔥



For the poets and storytellers of the dust, the notebook-carrying dreamers trading verses for hugs. Your words are the heartbeat beneath the noise. This is a tribute, stitched from your same wild language.



Written and orated by Raymond Solorzano for Larry Harvey’s wake in 2018, this poem is a playa heirloom, and a reminder to all playa scribes: Keep writing, no matter how thick the dust.
