This is the vod of my stream for the Rayman 1 Blind Community Race on September 10th. Note that I did not have my mic on for this, so what youre hearing are the team members who did have their mics on ^^
For some context; this is a community event where we were split into teams to race Rayman 1. Since its semi-blind that means the people range from having never played the game before to having played it, but never done a speedrun. We played with a rom hack I made which gives you infinite lives, adds a death counter, in-game timer and doesnt require all cages for Mr Darks Dare. The goal is to get to the end, but you can get points for collecting cages among other things. You were also not allowed to use glitches here, such as speed-locking or clips.
I was really nervous as this was my first ever live stream. I also havent fully played the game in some years now, which might show as I got confused as to where some cages were (mostly a result of me mixing up the PC and PS1 cage locations). Luckily I didnt miss any cages though and ended up going for 100%. Im pretty happy with the results all things considered, but would definitely be interested in redoing this on my own some day to improve it 🙂
