In this episode with Ray Williams, Joe Chambers asks about how he placed an ad in the New Musical Express looking for talent. A poet named Bernie Taupin answered the ad and Ray put him in touch with another applicant named Reginald Dwight. The two hit it off and went on to make music history. Ray managed Elton John and got his career started. He went on to manage The Idle Race with Jeff Lynne as well as Stealer's Wheel with Gerry Raferty.
