In the promo of the fifth season, they have the quote "Find something you love the most and let it kill you" and the footage of
Ray leaving Abby's hand. And Liev Schreiber said something big and deep will happen in Ray's life that will shock many people and that will also affect his family. Join the Dots. And in other video all the actors speak what to expect for their characters in the fifth season and Paula Malcomson speaks only as Ray Donovan is a series about family (which I agree with her)

I never understood the hatred Abby got in the first few seasons, was Ray who treated her like shit, and all Abby ever wanted from
him is to let her in, show the good, the bad, and the ugly and everything in between, Ray always give half explanations and expected 100% of trust. And by always pulling her away is when she's started having the affair in season two, and that's when we saw Ray at his worst, lost, not being able to solve his problems, like he almost giving up everything (he was prepared to go to jail) because Abby is his anchor and when he was losing her, Ray was losing himself. (Imagine if Abby died?)

In the third season, Ray had no struggle in forgiving Abby, he had trouble in forgiving himself, he knows he the most blame for his marriage falling apart, but in this season he also faced some demons and finally let Abby in and the fourth season is the best for them as a couple, The two as a partner in crime, being honest with each other, supporting each other. (that's why they're gonna to kill her?).

I've never ship a couple from a tv show of these types (Not even Jax and Tara from SOA) but I'm really vested in the relationship and developments that the two have had during all these seasons.

Another reason I don't want Abby to die is that she's practically the only female character in the show, Okay, we have Lena, but she doesn't have her own arcs or any character development and Bridget too, but she's the typical annoying teenage daughter, who I couldn't care less about.

Killing character to shock values and pull the story forward was flesh and bold during the first few seasons of GOT or SOA, but now it is really taking my interest of the series, it's become boring and predictable. And also Paula Malcomson is a great actress and the show is going to lose a lot with her go.

I started a video "Donovan Family" I do not know if I finish this week or wait until the fifth season.
