I have been doing some retooling work. I had a bunch of footage but it became corrupted and lost it all. This is all that was left. I am changing the platen on my sander. I had a piece of 2" stainless steel angle before. I was not getting exactly matching plunges. It took me a while but finally I noticed that the edges of the platen were not the same. The corner edge was sharp and clean but the other edge had a small radius. So I made this platen with two matching edges by cutting a piece of aluminum angle on my table saw. When I am drilling the platen on the bench you will be able to see the new sander frame. It is made from aluminum extrusion. Very excited about it. I expect it to be a big improvement over the current one. Video to come on that in March.
