a friend of mine gifted me a laserdisc player and a domesday duplicator as an early birthday present. i got my player successfully tapped and i have done some successfull rf captures! expect more laserdisc rips in the future!
this is my first rf capture, the opening of the 1997 pioneer special edition laserdisc release of on golden pond. this shows all 525 lines, which shows off the vbi and other stuff. i did not deinterlace this so it could looks as raw as possible. this also only has the luma signal. the checkerboarding is actually the chroma information. i did not correct the aspect ratio for this either. i also did not do any dropout correction.

.lds file captured as 10-bit packed unsigned
ld-decode for decoding the .lds to a .tbc file
ld-process-efm for decoding the digital audio track
Avisynth for loading the .tbc file (RawSourcePlus) and the digital audio track, upscaling (point/nearest neighbor resize), and downscaling to 4K (resizefilter/ssim)
FFmpeg for encoding to HEVC_NVENC+PCM audio
