View HD off ride 2014 footage of Ravine Flyer II, Waldameer Park's largest wooden roller coaster. Built in 2008, Ravine Flyer 2 pays homage to the original Ravine Flyer, that operated from 1922 to 1938, by being built on the same site and having a bridge over Peninsula Drive just like the original. Ravine Flyer II was manufactured by Gravity Group, the same manufacturer who notably built Holiday World's Voyage and Mt. Olympus' Hades. Ravine Flyer 2 starts off with a 115 foot first drop and follows with traveling over Peninsula Drive. The ride then spirals up to its second tallest hill and swoops down through its second pass above Peninsula Drive. Then, a series of hills tunnels occurs afterwards. After several turns, Ravine Flyer II travels through its famed 90-degree turn. Next, a few bunny hops and turns travel the train to its final brake run. Coaster enthusiasts consider Ravine Flyer II as one of the best wooden roller coasters in the world, ranking 6th on the Mitch Hawker 2013 Wooden Roller Coaster Poll.
