This video was prerecorded so I didn't mention #BlackLivesMatter. But they do, obviously. It's so upsetting that we've never stopped fighting for basic human rights even now. I live in Canada so I'm not as affected by riots/protests, but racism is a universal experience for blacks + non-black people of colour everywhere. I've seen it, I've experienced it, and although George Floyd was only one of many to be killed senselessly, I'm glad everyone is standing up and standing together now. Things are being filmed, murderers are being held accountable. I just hope that what's happening isn't just a trend--that black lives continue to matter even after justice is served and media coverage dies down. Stay safe everyone!
