How does an open-world 3D roguelite play? Ravenbound is by indie developer Systemic Reaction and welcomes players to Ávalt, a beautiful fantasy island that has been overtaken by forces of hatred. Players are the Vessel of an ancient power known as the Raven – an eternal weapon forged by the gods to rid the land of its curse.
There's a cards system that allows for better gear and weapons for the Vessel, and while dying is commonplace in roguelites, Vessels return stronger thanks to skills that can be improved and new cards being unlocked, both of these mechanics are activated upon dying.
