running my pi from batteries and a bad build regulator with xbmc and playing 1080p movie (big buck bunny 2:35) and some webradio (3:40) with open gl visualization. current between 400ma and 600ma at 80-100% load. the multimeter shows the current drawn from the batteries.
any 5v regulator with heatsink capable of supplying about 700ma would be fine.
okay this video is just vga quality but i forgot to set the right resolution.
*update* done some measurings under debian:
wifi + playing webradio from console: 500ma
without wifi: 300-400ma
music is from modarchive.org filename: "80472-hardcore.xm" just search for it.
The webradio in the end is "hardbase.fm"
