I remember buying members just so I could get coloured boots, and nobody cared if they had strength bonus or not. If it looked cool, you wore it. The Legend’s cape was a flex, cavs were peak fashionscape, and everyone had that one outfit they thought made them look like the richest player in Varrock.

2005 version of runescape was something else and really caputed the oldschool feel. The Verac’s brassard with dragon platelegs, a gnome scarf and a cav hat was truly special back then. Either that or a beret if you were feeling extra rich.
