A very rare 1967 Ferrari 330 GTC Speciale, one of four 330 GTC Speciales built, leaving the 2026 Concorso Ferrari, organized by the Southwest Region of the Ferrari Club of America (FCA), where it won Best in Show. The first 330 GTC Speciale, chassis no. 9439, was commissioned by Princess Lilian de Réthy, wife of King Leopold III of Belgium, and featured bespoke Pininfarina coachwork finished in Azzurro Aurora (Aurora Blue) with pop-up fog lamps and a wraparound rear glass inspired by earlier Ferrari models including the 365 California and the 1966 Dino prototype. This example, chassis no. 9653, was originally owned by renowned American heart surgeon Dr. Michael DeBakey, a friend of Princess Lilian, who saw her car during a factory visit and decided to order an identical car. It was displayed on the Pininfarina stand at the 37th Geneva Motor Show in 1967. This car underwent a professional restoration in the 1990s and has received several notable awards including Best of Show at the Concours Italiano at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering and the Chairman’s Trophy at the 2024 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
