bookish sabrina | Ranking all of the 2019 releases I read this year @bookishsabrina | Uploaded December 2019 | Updated October 2024, 7 hours ago.
2019 was my year of reading frontlist titles. I discuss 27 books, from least favorite to favorite (rather than 28 because I forgot one and didn't realize until I was editing).
If you're curious, the book I forgot was I Like to Watch by Emily Nussbaum, a collection of essays about television criticism. It contains a particularly poignant essay about toxic men in the industry, particularly the author's changing feelings about Louis CK. Some of the essays were about shows I hadn't seen but were still interesting. I didn't always agree with the author, but I liked her voice.
