This spring, we present a major new exhibition tracing the life of Ranjit Singh (1780-1839), who emerged as the Punjab region’s undisputed Maharaja by the turn of the 19th century. His meteoric rise to power brought about the hugely influential Sikh Empire, which shaped the future of the Indian subcontinent.
