The most unlikely blood donors.

Okay, so here's an example of the most arbitrarily hard-coded thing. If you're using the "Red" blood setting, perform either the Secondary or Tertiary Sledgehammer attacks, the attack does not cause the enemy to gib, and the enemy weighs 250 units or less, the enemy will always produce blood splatter. This is most noticable on Kleers and Spiders. However, you generally don't see this because those enemies normally die and gib when hit with the Sledgehammer. If you turn up the enemy strength, this becomes much more apparent. This can happen naturally if you manage to perform the Sledgehammer's unprepared secondary attack on one of these enemies, because that attack inexplicably does much less damage.

This doesn't happen to enemies like Khnums because they simply weigh too much. There is no option for this in the editor; If the enemy weighs more than 250 units, it just won't produce splatter. What even is this hard-coding.
