Jantar Mantar had loud voices. Jharkhand has silence. Same lathicharge, same tear gas, same water cannons on students — only the government changed.
On 10 August, students in Ranchi marched for a Vidhan Sabha Gherao over alleged irregularities in the JSSC CGL and JPSC recruitment examinations. Police responded with a lathicharge, tear gas and water cannons. JLKM leader Devendra Nath Mahto, who had been on hunger strike for nine days, was admitted to Sadar Hospital.
