The Rana Plaza in Savar, Bangladesh, was owned by Mohammed Sohel Rana. It was built illegally with substandard material and within the building were heavy machinery. On the 24th April 2013 this building collapsed with hundreds of people inside. As of this writing over 650 died and many injured. Sohel Rana is presently being investigated by the police.
