In 2014, Lim Ji-hyun risked her life to escape North Korea, the most isolated and ruthless dictatorship on the planet.

She made a new life in South Korea, and everything seemed perfect: new friends, a social media career, reality-TV fame, and loving followers. Three years later, she went silent and disappeared without a trace, her apartment and belongings untouched.

She resurfaced briefly pledging allegiance on television to North Korea, then was never seen or heard from again.
