Congratulations to Ramesh Chaudhari! He was awarded a doctoral degree at Ahmedabad University's 14th Annual Convocation on December 10, 2024. Ramesh's dissertation, completed in the Biological and Life Sciences division at the School of Arts and Sciences, focused on developing innovative nanoparticle-based immunoliposome delivery systems for targeted chemotherapy and microRNA therapy. By specifically targeting cancer cells, these systems aim to minimise off-target effects and reduce systemic toxicity, leading to more effective and less harmful treatments for breast cancer.

$Bishal Deb | Coefficientwise Total Positivity of Hankel Matrices in Counting Problems Listen to Bishal Deb, a postdoctoral researcher at Sorbonne University, talk on the totally positive matrix and its connection to enumerative combinatorics as part of his lecture, Coefficientwise total positivity of Hankel Matrices in Counting Problems at Ahmedabad University. The talk introduced the concept of total positivity and Hankel matrices. The talk explained the result by Gantmacher and Krein and showed its relation to the Stieltjes moment problem and continued fractions. Through examples of sequences in combinatorics whose Hankel matrices are totally positive, the talk discussed how these ideas can be extended to coefficientwise total positivity and mentioned some proof techniques used in this field. The lecture was a part of the Mathematical and Physical Sciences Research Seminar organised by Ahmedabad Universitys School of Arts and Sciences.$
