When two criminal delivery drivers decide to start searching for the perfect bowl of ramen in the most unethical of ways, it will lead them down a path of a dark tragedy. Ramen Sucker Punch is the creation of Edward Shilka and Daniel Lotz made for the 12 features project.
We started filming this movie over winter while co founder of 922 films Joel Dik was in Florida shooting his movie Hell is a Timeshare in Florida, what originally intended on being a 1 month shoot ballooned into a multi month shoot that spanned nearly 3 different seasons. The focus of the movie was much deeper than the premise of a silly day time noir about ramen, we suddenly found ourselves with a story that felt fresh and relevant to the daily struggles of lonely desperate men in America. The film is a expose, comedy, and a harsh look at the reality of the world as we know it.
