Remembered Reads | Rambling about Book Bucket Lists @RememberedReads | Uploaded September 2021 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
This was inspired by being tagged by Gunpowder, Fiction & Plot (youtube.com/watch?v=JBKaEni40xg) in The Mookse and the Gripes Bucket List Book Tag, which was created by Shawn The Book Maniac (youtube.com/watch?v=CVch2Pb6rl4) in honour of the Bloggers/Podcasters of that name (https://mookseandgripes.com).
Obviously, some of the poets included on the list in Raiza Sultanova's book wrote in Uzbek - either exclusively or in addition to Russian (or wrote in the period where Persian was in decline as a common language and Russian as a common language hadn't spread yet). Uzbek is just close enough to Turkish that it feels like it would be significantly easier to learn than Russian or Persian, which is why I didn't mention it in my rambling here. Although that's just my gut instinct - I had planned to go to Uzbekistan last year, but obviously that didn't happen for pandemic reasons - I have no idea how right or wrong I am about that.
