Ramadan Values: Compassion, Forgiveness and Unity
As the sun sets and the moon rises high,
Ramadan descends, a time to purify,
To fast, to pray, to reflect and give,
To grow in faith and learn to forgive.
In this holy month of Ramadan,
Let us unite and come together as one,
To embrace the values of forgiveness,
Compassion, respect, and inclusion
As I embrace this holy space,
My heart fills with spiritual grace,
A month of worship and deep reflection,
To seek forgiveness and inner connection.
And Though my body feels the hunger's sting,
I know it's just a temporary thing,
For there are many with no choice but to go without.
I think of those who are less fortunate,
And recognize all the blessings on my plate,
I'm filled with gratitude for all that I have
And know I must share with those in need.
In this holy month of Ramadan,
Let us come together as one,
To embrace the values of forgiveness,
Compassion, respect, and inclusion.
To forgive and seek forgiveness too,
To grow and learn, in all that we do,
May this Ramadan be a time of healing,
And bring us closer to our shared humanity and calling
Let us forgive those who have wronged us,
And seek forgiveness from those we have hurt,
Let us show compassion to those in need,
And respect to all, regardless of their creed.
For in unity lies our strength,
And in diversity, our beauty shines,
Let us come together in love and harmony,
And leave behind our differences and divides.
Let us reach out to those in need,
And be a source of comfort and aid,
Let us stand up for justice and equality,
And strive towards a world that's fair and unafraid.
For Ramadan is a time of reflection,
And a time of deep spiritual connection,
Let us embrace the values it teaches us,
And let them guide us to a better direction.
So let us join together, hand in hand,
In love and peace, across every land,
For the month of Ramadan, and beyond,
May our hearts be filled with love and bond
