Ralf and Florian sang in the 4th octave with falsetto voice towards the end of Autobahn. In the original release, it can be heard only faintly as there are a lot of phasing effects going on with the vocals. Ralf's voice is in the foreground, Florian's voice in the background. Ralf had a bright and really light voice while Florian's voice was always rather dark although it wasn't as heavy as in 1981 and afterwards.
Thanks to Frosty the Supervisor on The Range Planet for the correction regarding the voice register they sang in.
The highest note they sang in this clip here is a G4.
