Rakuen (the game I have been developing for the past four years) is FINALLY OUT ON STEAM ^___^
Rakuen is an adventure game about a Boy who lives in the hospital. One day he asks his Mom if she'll escort him to the fantasy world from his favorite storybook, in order to ask the great Forest Guardian, Morizora to grant him one wish. Together, the Boy and his Mom search out special doors that lead between the hospital and fantasy world, and they set off on a great journey. In order to receive a wish, the Boy must complete a set of challenges that revolve around helping his neighbors in the hospital by interacting with their alter-egos in the fantasy world.
I'm super excited to post this particular video, because instead of just sharing the audio, I thought it would be fun to include the actual cutscene from the game where "Mom" reads you a bedtime story (complete with all of the in-game art and music). I hope it helps you relax, and gives you a bit of a sneak peek at the world of Rakuen!
The lovely storybook art you see in the video was created by Amy Kim Kibuishi, and thumbnail image was of course created by Emmy Toyonaga. A very big thank-you to Slamacow for helping me edit the images, and encouraging me to post these videso ^__^
