"As a scientist, I've never had reason to be so concerned as I am today for the future we are facing," states PIK Director Johan Rockström as #cop30 kicks off in #belém, Brazil.

We will be likely to breach the 1.5°C limit within the next 5 to 10 years, he adds, with impacts affecting billions of coastal citizens around the world.

The first ever Planetary Science Pavilion, under the mandate from @cop30nobrasil, and together with Carlos Nobre, shall raise the voice of science and support the policy process.

If you are a scientist in Belém and would like to get involved in the Science Pavilion, feel free to register here: planetarysciencepavilion.org
