At first light on Memorial Day our flag was raised. This was not to celebrate any wars, but to honor those who risked everything for our Freedoms, and gave everything they had for us to keep them.

On Memorial Day in the U.S. the flag should be raised to full-staff, then slower down to half-staff. At noon it should be raised to full-staff again and left there until sunset.
