Here is a great do it yourself project. This one is for Jeep owners. I love taking the top off of my jeep and put it on the bikini top for the summer.

But what about the rain? I’ve been thinking about this problem for a while now and I have come up with a solution.

In this video, I am using 2 inch PVC pipe and various fittings to build a frame to put in the back of my Jeep. My Jeep is a 1990 Jeep Wrangler YJ.

This frame that I am building has two legs in the back, one on each side with supports that run up toward the roll bar. There is a crossmember across the back between the legs and a crossmember that goes on top of the bikini on the front side of the roll bar.

This frame will allow me to use my weather cover on the jeep. My plan is to keep the cover on the Jeep in my driveway all summer. I did not glue any of the PVC so the whole frame comes apart pretty quick.
