Some footage from the World Falun Dafa Day celebration in Canberra yesterday. While formally celebrated on 13 May, many of the performers travelled from Sydney and will be busy next weekend, so we celebrated on 2 May.

13 May 2026 marks 34 years since the founder of Falun Gong, Mr Li Hongzhi started teaching the exercises in Changchun, China.

I sang the song I wrote for this year's celebration, 'Why Take up the Way' as part of the event.

The title of this song comes from music said to be composed by Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang dynasty, after visiting the celestial moon palace (in Mandarin):
