If you play as The Hunter and get to the Guardians with flash mushrooms, you're in for a rude awakening. Unlike the other slugcats, the Guardians here are immune to flashes and will show you the way out if you try them. However...


For this, you'll need a white mushroom and one or two heavy objects to throw to change slugcat's trajectory, as the success factor in this heavily depends on how close you land near the door (and not roll away from it).

In the center of both guardians is where the gravity squeeze is activated, but with the white mushroom in effect, you'll be slowed down enough to continue to push to the left. At the very top of the screen, you'll throw said object to move further left. You'll want to land as close to the center of the door as possible while *only* holding down on the controller/keyboard. Holding left or right may cause you to roll, which is bad. If you have another object in your hand, you can use it to throw right or left, depending on how far you are away from the door. After landing (hope for a hard crash, which weakens the Guardian's grip), crawl for the door and go in it. With luck, it's actually possible to slip in the door w/o crashing into the ground.

Although easier to pull off than the older Guardian trick, it's harder to do consistently due to gravity randomness, making it a risky endeavor.
