Making a viking bearded hatchet from start to finish with steel from railroad track and damascus. Traditional wrapped and forge-welded eye construction.

Steel from the railroad track I have is hardanable, handle is made of elm wood.
1095 and 15n20 damascus piece made and kindly provided by my friend @Sperber- Knives

I am aware this is far from perfect, it's the first time I try anything like this.

0:00 Railroad Track Steel Prep
1:45 Forge Hatchet Body
3:50 Damascus Cutting Edge
6:05 Grind
6:50 Heat Treatment
7:20 Final Grind and Etch
8:13 Handle
10:40 Steel Wedges
11:35 Finish and Tests
