Quick and dirty nail header made in a simple fashion from a rail spike. The tools you need are spike head tongs, bolt or slot jaw tongs, a suitably sized square punch, metal file, and a hammer. Heat source and anvil shaped object are a given requirement. If you have a spike and need a nail heading tool then this is an easy way to produce that tool. You can spend as much time as you prefer refining it's shape and length, but this is functional as is. Enjoy!
