he's a lot of fun to fight until he starts using his fireballs. i don't know if it's just me or what, but when they make contact, the hit will sometimes take a second longer to register than it should. this makes it a bit of a crapshoot to try to dodge them, since i need to time my roll differently depending on how "laggy" it is. it's very frustrating
my gear is quite a bit better than it would be when you initially fight him, but it doesn't really change anything other than shaving a few minutes off of the fight
attack range here is 462 - 540

a solo run of all the wildspire wastes monsters in 20 minutes with lance
substantially easier than ancient forest, since diablos is a great lance target and the other two are just punching bags. this was a pretty good diablos fight, even with the wasted pitfall. really feel the absence of guard here though
