First clear of the Expert course in Raiden DX. Played on the Japanese version.

Expert mode is really the "normal" mode for the game despite it's name. This is really kind of like Raiden II Ver 2.0 since the entire game has been overhauled (some stages more than others) but a lot of the assets from Raiden II have been reused.
I'd rank this lower in difficulty than Raiden II, mostly because you get the nice Blue ship with faster lateral movement and can use cluster bombs right from the start. And the enemy patterns and bosses have all been toned down a bit as well.
Like with Raiden II, the 4th credit rank down trick works here as well and you do get slightly reduced difficulty.
