Starting at the water's edge near Rome’s historic Piazza del Popolo, inflatable raft tours along the Tiber River are showing tourists a new side to the city during the summer heat.
It is a relatively new option for tourists seeking to discover Italy's capital away from the long queues outside Roman ruins. After approximately two hours, tours end at an ancient Roman port in the neighbourhood of Trastevere, whose name literally means "Across the Tiber".
